What defines us

At Cora, we’ve always had a laser focus on creating and sustaining a very positive and progressive culture in our organisation. We’re striving to create a culture where on Sunday night, people look forward to coming to work on Monday. We’re not there yet, for everyone, every Sunday night, but we’re going in the right direction. We love a challenge. We love solving problems at Cora. We’ve been nurturing a relentlessly curious, people-centric business since our inception.

At Cora, we have several key cultural pillars. We put our CUSTOMERS front and centre. We take OWNERSHIP and we take personal initiative to bring about positive results. We GROW and DEVELOP ourselves and our colleagues. We have a POSITIVE and CAN DO attitude. We are AMBITIOUS with contagious energy and a collaborative spirit. We treat everybody with RESPECT, always. We are CURIOUS, we step off the path, defy convention and act unlike others.

What inspires us

From a subsidised bike-to-work scheme, to your birthday off, to 5 days off a year to avail of our unrivalled staff learning & development opportunities so you can focus on your professional development, which includes a bursary of €3K per staff member; as well as the chance to enjoy events and parties with Club Cora, our renowned staff social club. Over the past 12 months alone, we’ve enjoyed, for example, barbeques; boat rides on the River Shannon; family days out; table quizzes; bowling; visits to local distilleries; go-karting; adventure treks; and bike rides.

At Cora, we also get the basics right. These include a competitive base salary; healthcare options; a company pension scheme (i.e. defined contribution where company matches contribution up to 5%); death in service benefit – a lump sum benefit of four times basic salary (following successful completion of probation); holidays (20 days per annum with one day extra added per annum growing to 25 days by year by year six).

Word from the top

“What I love about Cora is the energy in the building. There’s a lovely warm, can-do attitude to everyone in Cora. It’s infectious. I’m sure it’s why we have such great staff retention rates. People in Cora are always quick to laugh, to rise to a challenge, to find a solution. Nothing can’t be solved whenever a few Cora people get in a room together. It’s the Cora way.”
