What employees say

My first three years working in Fiserv were very challenging and rewarding. In order to progress in my career I needed to develop skills in the areas of best practice management, strategic thinking, decision making and leadership. I wanted to gain the insights needed to understand and respond quickly to the dynamics of Fiserv’s’ rapidly changing business environment.

After speaking with my manager about these goals it was suggested that I undertake an MBA programme to gain the leadership skills and breadth of knowledge required for a senior role.

With the support of Fiserv I decided to pursue an Executive MBA in the University of Limerick.

During the MBA program I moved to a Global Product Management role. I now have product management responsibility for all Value Added Services in GBS EMEA. The MBA has given me the knowledge and skills necessary for this position and is helping me drive innovative solutions and value for our customers.

Application tips

Our hiring philosophy is based primarily around person fit – the personal characteristics are our primary focus. We’re not looking for financial institution experience, although it’s welcome. We’re looking for people who have an inquisitive nature, ask questions, want to push thinking beyond its limits and want to learn as they go. We welcome those who challenge the status quo, who want to push the norm, who like new challenges.

Our great workplace

The single biggest quality that makes Nenagh a great Place to Work is the “Trust” that is there between Managers and their associates.

When we first established the Nenagh facility together with the Leadership team in 2017 we set about determining what will make us unique and one of those unique characteristics was to be our culture and at the time we simply said we wanted to create an environment where people can have multiple careers under one roof, collaborative environment, fun and a learning experience.

We quickly set about hiring our leadership team and agreed that we would aim to become a Great Places to Work in Ireland. We used the GPTW framework as a benchmark a guide to help us establish process, policies, and best practice to establish an environment where people feel valued and want to join, develop and stay.
