Great Workplaces are all about relationships, and 'trust' is the glue that holds those relationships together. We've designed a short alternative quiz - based on the key ideas behind our full Trust Index© Employee Survey - to give a quick snapshot of how your workplace measures up. You might be surprised at the outcome!
Employees at great workplaces tell us that they find their leaders credible, respectful, and fair - they trust them. They also take pride in the work that they do and they share a sense of camaraderie with their fellow workers. The quality of three workplace relationships between you and your leaders, between you and your job, and between you and your fellow workers is the key factor that determines whether or not you enjoy a great place to work.
So how do we measure great workplaces? We do it in two ways. Using our Culture Audit©, our evaluators look at the programmes, policies and practices that your leaders have put in place for you and your colleagues. This helps us understand how committed your leaders are to creating a great workplace environment and it counts for one third of the total available score.
Then we ask the real experts - the people who work there. Every year, more than two million employees complete our Trust Index© Employee Survey which measures the levels of trust, pride and camaraderie in the workplace. Their ratings and anonymous comments count for two-thirds of their organisation's total score. So it really is the employees who determine whether or not their organisation deserves to be recognised as one of the Best Workplaces.
The full Trust Index Survey has 57 statements designed to gauge the quality of those crucial workplace relationships. We've designed a short alternative survey based on some of the key traits that we measure in the full Trust Index, to give you a quick snapshot of how great - or otherwise - your workplace is.
