The Lists:

The Best Workplaces in Ireland

Great Place to Work® Institute conducts Trust Assessments and produces Best Workplaces lists in over forty countries around the world, surveying over 1.5 million employees annually and working with thousands of companies to transform their workplace cultures.

We publish our lists of the Best Workplaces in Ireland in late February each year in partnership with the Irish Independent. The research on which we base our published list is widely recognised as Ireland’s most comprehensive study of workplace culture.  It offers superb national and international benchmarking, learning, and networking opportunities to each of our clients.

Any organisation with fifty or more employees is eligible for inclusion on a Best Workplaces list. (In February 2010 we published two separate lists – one for SME’s employing between fifty and two hundred and fifty employees, and another for larger organisations. In previous years we published just one combined list.)

Organisations that appear on our list are evaluated and selected primarily on the basis of their employees' responses to the Trust Index©, our proprietary employee survey. We also evaluate materials submitted by management in response to the Great Place to Work® Culture Audit© questionnaire along with any supplementary materials submitted by the company, and information gathered from reputable sources.

Every organisation that we have assessed during the period March to November is automatically considered for a place on the appropriate list, based on their company size. Each organisation included among the Best Workplaces in Ireland is then considered for inclusion on the list of the ‘100 Best Workplaces in Europe’ which is published by GPTW Europe every May. This list is based on the results of identical national ‘Best Workplaces’ studies  which we conduct in seventeen European countries.
